In these release notes
assessmentQ 2024.03 contains the following new features and improvements:
Oral exams (closed beta feature)
Televic Education is extending its support for oral exams. This next step in oral exams is a closed beta feature that is only available for a selection of customers.
Oral exams can now be created with the Oral item type. In an oral item, both screen and webcam recordings are made so the participant's answer is fully recorded.
Oral exams can currently only be started by means of access codes. The participant has to go through a system check at the start of the oral exam.
Note: The Oral exam is a closed beta feature in assessmentQ. Therefore it can't be used by all our customers yet.
Grading tasks (closed beta feature)
Oral exams always need grading. The scheduler can define which grader will have to grade which session(s). The grading can be done synchronously (live) or asynchronously.
The participant's webcam and screen recordings can be consulted by the grader to determine the participant's score. The grader can use rubrics or criteria to objectively grade an answer.
The scheduler can create multiple grading tasks if he wants multiple graders to grade the same session consecutively. This way, two graders can grade the same session independently of each other. They will both have their own grading task which is not influenced by the other grader's input.
Note: The Grading tasks are just like the oral items a closed beta feature at this moment. They cannot be used by all our customers yet at this moment.
Updated access codes statuses
Before only two statuses were available for access codes:
- Unused
- Used
In assessmentQ 2024.03 these statuses are expanded to the following ones:
- Not started: The participant didn't use the access code (yet)
- Started: The participant has started the assignment
- Finished: The participant has ended the assignment
- Expired: The participant can't use the code anymore. The availability period of the access code has expired.
Recalculate rubric score
It's now possible to recalculate the rubric score to a specific minimum or maximum score.
