In these release notes
assessmentQ 2024.04 contains the following new features and improvements:
- LTI 1.3 schedules
- Time zone and locale
- Improved access code page
- Grid view for multiple-choice questions
- Enhanced self-registration module
- Other improvements
LTI 1.3 schedules
Currently, LTI sessions become available in assessmentQ only when they have been started. These are all separate sessions that are not properly grouped.
That is why it is hard to set the properties related to grading, review, and the publication of results of those sessions: it must always be done afterward, i.e. when all sessions have been completed.
That is why the LTI link to an assignment has moved from the assignment level to the level of a schedule.
When you are using an LTI 1.3 integration, you will be able to create an LTI schedule in the scheduling module of assessmentQ, and copy the link to your assignment there.
Time zone and locale
To avoid confusion for users in different time zones and countries, we have introduced a time zone and locale on the user level in assessmentQ.
This change allows the date and time notation in all assessmentQ modules, as well as the dates and times stated in e-mails, to comply with the user's location and preferences.
Improved access code page
The new layout of the access code page is more user-friendly and accessible with only the keyboard.
Grid view for multiple-choice questions
We have introduced a new grid view option for multiple-choice questions, providing a more organised and user-friendly interface.
Enhanced self-registration module
Users who have created an assessmentQ account via the self-registration module can now add other groups to their profile starting from 'My preferences' on the portal.
Thanks to this feature, users can self-register in multiple groups and therefore administrators have less work.
Note: This can only be used when the Self-registration feature is switched on. Are you interested? Please contact support@televic-education.com
Other improvements
- The editor toolbar can be disabled for open questions to simplify the interface.
- All sessions related to schedules are created upfront. In this way, you will be able to see the sessions that haven't started yet in the Results module. See: How to get a list of people who didn't start an assignment yet?
- The scoring mechanism is shown in the item overview of an assignment and can be displayed in the item overview in the item bank.
- Several technical and security-related improvements
