About performance level templates
When defining the score and result settings for their assignments, authors can choose to activate predefined performance levels. More information.
As an administrator, you define these performance levels in the performance levels templates. By means of a performance level template, you can map score ranges (0–100%) to corresponding performance levels for participants.

Note: Performance levels is a beta feature. It is not by default enabled in your assessmentQ envrionment. To be able to use performance levels, you first need to enable this beta feature in the settings module of assessmentQ. More information.
Creating a performance level template
Proceed as follows to create a new performance level template:
- Go to Settings
> Templates > Performance level templates.
- Click on
at the top right corner.
- At the top of the page, enter the name of your template.
- Configure the performance level template to your needs:
- Set the score ranges
- Enter the name of the performance levels
By default, two placeholders are provided to add performance levels. To add additional performance levels, move the mouse below the performance level of your choice and click the plus operator.
Editing a performance level template
Proceed as follows to edit a performance level template:

Go to Settings
> Templates > Performance level templates.
- Click on the template you want to edit.
- Change the settings to your needs.
Result: The changes are saved automatically. If this template is already used in an assignment, the author will be see a warning and will be able to update the template. This applies to all assignment statuses from Draft to Approved.
