In these release notes
assessmentQ 2025.05 contains the following new features and improvements:
Manual update of item analysis
Upon request of many of our customers, we have added the possibility to manually trigger an update in the Item Analysis module.
Your analysts no longer need to wait for the nightly update to have access to the most recent psychometric data. Starting from assessmentQ 2025.05, they can trigger an update when needed (for example, as soon as participants finish their assignment, when items in the assignment are eliminated or neutralised, or the assignment result settings are changed).
Edit mode for live assignments
As an author, you can now make limited changes to live assignments.
For example, when analyzing the results of your assignment, you may find that the passing score was set too high. You can now edit your live assignment and adjust the passing score. The changes will be applied to all sessions of your assignment. The session results will automatically be recalculated taking into account the newly set passing score.
Making changes to a live assignment is done through the edit mode.
Note: The edit mode is now also required for making changes to an approved assignment. Autosaved changes without using the edit mode are no longer supported, see Removed features below.

Editing approved assignments
To ensure a more intuitive and consistent experience, authors now have to use the edit mode to make changes to an approved assignment. For example, changing the assignment name of an approved assignment is no longer possible without using the edit mode. In edit mode, the changes will only be saved when the author manually saves them. For more information, see Editing an assignment.
