Setting a "to be defined"-filter in the advanced reporting


When creating a report, you don’t always have all parameters available to set your filters. Sometimes you will need to leave a filter blank in the report template. Even with a blank filter, it is still possible to save that report. Afterwards, you will have to specify this filter whenever you open the report.


Proceed as follows to set a "to be defined"-filter in the advanced reporting:

  1. Select the filter you will set as to be defined.
    Result: the dialog box for that filter appears.
  2. Check This filter needs to be defined by the user.
    Result: The window greys out. This filter will need to be defined upon opening of the report.
