Validating a publication via a third person

Background

When you are done with creating/editing a publication, but you want a third person (e.g. a colleague or supervisor) to check and validate the publication, you can send a notification mail.

Procedure

Proceed as follows to send a validation request:

  1. Open the Publications module.
  2. Select In creation in the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Show overview.
  4. Click Ask for validation in the rightmost column next to the publication of your choice.
    Result: The Validation request dialog box appears.
  5. Fill in the mail form and click Ok.
    Result: A notification mail is sent to the third person and the publication is moved to the publications To validate.
  6. The third person can:
    • Validate the publication himself, see Validating a publication.
    • Return the publication to the publications In creation, see below.

    Warning: The third person should have the appropriate author rights.

To return the publication in creation, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Publications module.
  2. Select To validate in the drop-down menu.
  3. Select Show overview.
  4. Click Back to creation  next to the publication of your choice.
    Result: The publication is moved to the publications To validate.

    Warning: No notification is sent after this action.
