Adding a LaTex formula to an item

Background

Adding a LaTeX formula is a user-friendly tool that allows the author to add mathematical formulas to the item. 
To add a LaTex formula to an assessmentQ item, go to Adding WIRIS math and chemistry formulas to an item.

Procedure

Proceed as follows to ad a LaTeX formula to an item:

1. Click  Add LaTeX in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
   Result: A LaTeX placeholder is added.
2. Click on the LaTeX placeholder to open the LaTeX tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Type or copy your LaTeX formula in the text field below.
   Result: The LaTeX formula is added to the item.
4. Click Save
