Who gets access?
To get access to the Monitoring module, you need to have the Supervisor role. Administrators also have access out of the box, as they can see everything in the backoffice.
Coaches, graders or authors by default do not have access to the Monitoring module.
By default, the two monitoring permissions are activated for the supervisor role:
- Access to Exams
- Access to Concurrent users
Access to exams
In the Exams submodule, supervisors will only see the assignments they have access to. Supervisors can get access to an assignment:
- when they are also the author of the assignment: authors by default have access to all the assignments they created.
- when another author shared the assignment with them.
- or when the administrator gave them access to an assignment via the User management module.
Note: You can only monitor assignments of the type Exam. Exercises are not shown.
Access to monitor the concurrent users
In the Concurrent users submodule, a supervisor can see how many users are simultaneously logged on or trying to log on to an assessmentQ environment. More info.
You can give users with different roles access to this submodule by activating the permission Access to Concurrent users in their role.
