Hiding the Forget password link
In case of high-stakes exams, you may want to define the participants' passwords yourself and communicate the password verbally at the start of the exam. In this case, participants should not be able to retrieve or change their password via the sign in page.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to hide the Forget password link:
- Go to Settings
> Security.
- Select the option Hide "Forgot password" link on sign in page.
Result: The Forgot password link and the Remember me option are no longer shown on the sign in page.
Embedding the access code page in an iframe
Due to security reasons, it's by default impossible to embed the access code page in an iFrame on a certain website. If you trust the website with the iFrame, you can whitelist it and afterwards, you'll be able to embed the access code page onto this website.
Note: This feature is inactive by default. It's only included for customers with an integration pack.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to allow embedding the access code page in an iframe of a specific website:
- Go to Settings
> Security.
- Enable the option Allow embedding the access code page in an iframe
- Whitelist the website(s) where you want to embed the page. You can use '*' for variables within the same base website. For example "https://*.assessmentq.com"
Configuring the assessmentQ waiting page
In case a maximum number of concurrent users is defined for your assessmentQ environment, users will see a waiting page when they try to log in while the maximum number of users has been reached.
As an administrator, you can customise the text for this waiting page to your needs.
Notes:
- The waiting page is only displayed if a limit on the maximum number of concurrent users has been set for your environment. By default, there is no limitation on the number of concurrent users and this page will therefore not be shown to your users. If you are interested, however, in limiting the maximum number of concurrent users, please contact Televic Education via support@televic-education.com.
- You can monitor the number of concurrent users in the Monitoring module. For more info, see Monitoring the concurrent users in your assessmentQ environment.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to configure the waiting page:
- Go to Settings
> Security.
- In the Waiting page section, select the language for which you want to configure the waiting page.
- Change the title and the text to your needs.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all languages that are used in your assessmentQ environment.
Result: Your participants will see the waiting page when they try to log in while the maximum number of users has been reached. See also, What should my participants do when a waiting page is shown?
