About the Cornerstone integration
Cornerstone is a well-known globally used LMS.
The integration between assessmentQ and Cornerstone allows you to push an assessmentQ assignment to the Cornerstone catalogue. Once the assignment is added to the Cornerstone catalogue, you can schedule it on your Cornerstone platform. When a user completes the assignment, the results are returned to Cornerstone.
Setting up a Cornerstone integration
Proceed as follows to set up a Cornerstone integration with your assessmentQ environment:
- In the Settings module, open the Integrations submodule and click on Cornerstone.
- Click the Configure button.
Result: The Configure Cornerstone pop-up is shown. - Copy-paste the required configuration settings from your Cornerstone environment into the configuration form in assessmentQ.
- Click Save.
Result: The Cornerstone configuration page is shown.
Notes:
- If you are interested in a Cornerstone integration with assessmentQ and you don't have access yet to the Cornerstone integration module, please contact Televic Education via https://support.televic-education.com.
- You can only add one Cornerstone integration to your assessmentQ environment.
Adding an assessmentQ assignment to your Cornerstone catalogue
Proceed as follows to add an assessmentQ assignment to your Cornerstone catalogue:
- Open the module Publishing in de assessmentQ backoffice.
- Open the submodule LMS and click on Cornerstone.
Result: You see the list of assignments that have already been added to the Cornerstone catalogue. - Click Add assignment in the upper right corner to add new assignments to the Cornerstone catalogus.
Result: You see the list of assignments that you can add to your Cornerstone catalogue.Notes:
- Only assignments with the status Approved or Live are shown.
- Assignments that have already been added to the Cornerstone catalogue are not shown in the list.
- Select one or more assignments and click Add.
Result: The assignments are now available in your Cornerstone catalogue. You can now assign these assignments to your Cornerstone users.
Assigning assessmentQ assignments in Cornerstone
In the procedure below you find one of the ways to assign an assessmentQ assignment in Cornerstone. Note that this procedure only covers the very basics of assigning an assessmentQ assignment in Cornerstone.
- Log on to your Cornerstone environment.
- Open the menu in the upper right corner () and click Learning Admin followed by Catalogue.
- Click Course catalogue.
- Search for the assessmentQ assignment of your choice and click the arrow icon () in the Actions column and select Assign.
- Set a title and (optionally) a description of the assignment and click Next.
- Configure the assignment options and click Next. For more details on this step, consult the Cornerstone Online Help.
- Specify when the assignment must be available and click Next.
- Select the users to whom the assessmentQ assignment must be assigned.
- Click Select Users, search and select the user(s) and click Select.
- Click Next.
- Click Select Users, search and select the user(s) and click Select.
- Confirm all settings and click Submit.
- Click YES to confirm.
Result: The assignment will become available in the training overview of the users.
Note: It can take up to 10 minutes before the assignment becomes available in the training overview of the users.
Taking an assessmentQ assignment via Cornerstone
The users can start their assessmentQ assignment through their training overview in Cornerstone:
- Open the menu in the upper right corner () and click Learning followed by View your training record.
- Click the Launch button next to the corresponding assessmentQ assignment.
Result:-
In case the user has not started a session yet for this assignment, a new session is opened.

In case the user started a session previously but did not finish this session, the user will be able to resume his last session.

In case the session was finished:

In case of an assignment of the type Exercise, a new session can be started provided the Recurrence setting is activated for this training material in Cornerstone.

In case of an assignment of the type Exam, a message will be shown that a session already exists and the player will not start.

Note: The assessmentQ assignment is launched through a pop-up window, so the user should verify that this window is not blocked by the browser when clicking the Launch button.
Allowing users to make an exercise several times
If you want to allow users to make exercises more than once, you need to activate the Recurence setting for the training material in Cornerstone:
Note: The Recurrence setting only applies to assignments of the type Exercise. assessmentQ assignments of the type Exam can only be taken once.
Clearing a Cornerstone configuration
Proceed as follows to clear the Cornerstone configuration for your assessmentQ environment:
- In the Settings module, open the Integrations submodule and click on Cornerstone.
- Click the Clear configuration button.
Result: The Cornerstone integration is removed.
Warning: The assessmentQ assignments remain available in the Cornerstone catalogue, but correct functioning can no longer be guaranteed as the Cornerstone integration with your assessmentQ environment no longer exists.
