Use case
Many assessmentQ items have to be reviewed by internal or external subject matter experts. The content review module optimises this review process by providing reviewers read-only access to the items and their properties, as well as the ability to comment on them.
Note: reviewers also need to have access to the assessmentQ backoffice, so they should have an account and the appropriate role. For more information, see Getting access to the content review module.
Process
Content reviews are initiated by an author who needs a second, third, ... pair of eyes on the items he just created. The process works as follows:
- The author creates a review task by selecting the items that have to be reviewed, adding instructions and a deadline, and assigning one or more reviewers to the task.
- The reviewers get a notification e-mail, from which they can start the content review. They review the items independently of each other, so they don't see each other's comments.
- The author is notified when the reviewers have finished the review task and can see all comments of all authors in the item bank. He can start updating the items and resolve the comments.
- When all comments have been processed, the author can either send the items again for review or approve them so they can be used in an assignment.
