Background
Some reporting functionalities for sessions, such as printing a session report, or viewing or exporting a participant's answers, are only possible if the sessions are finished.
If you want to use these functionalities and notice that they are not available, it means that there are unfinished sessions (for example, participants forgot to finish their session). As an analyst, you can then finish these sessions in the reporting module.
Notes:
- When you finish a session, the participant's assignment is submitted. The participant can no longer continue working on the assignment. So it is important not to finish sessions if participants still need to work on the assignment.
- It is also possible to finish sessions via the Monitoring module. More info.
Finishing a single session
To finish a session, proceed as follows:
- Select Reporting in the main menu of assessmentQ
.
- Open the assignment or user report of your choice. More info.
Result: The Overview tab of your report is opened. - Open the Score report tab or the Custom report tab.
- Click on the three dots at the right side of the session of your choice and select Finish session.
Result: The participant's session is finished. If the participant is still working on it in the assessmentQ player, he will see a popup notifying him that his session has been finished.
Finishing multiple sessions
In the Assignments reports module, you can simultaneously close multiple sessions:
- Select Reporting in the main menu of assessmentQ
.
- Click Assignment Reports in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of your screen.
Result: The list of assignments is displayed. - Click on the three dots next to the assignment of your choice. Alternatively, open the assignment report of your choice and click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
- Select Finish all sessions.
Result: The participants' sessions are finished. If the participants are still working in the assessmentQ player, they will see a popup notifying them that their session has been finished.
Note: If you finish all sessions, you will also finish unstarted sessions (if any). If you do not want to finish unstarted sessions, it is recommended to filter by sessions that are not finished yet.
