New look and feel of the assessmentQ portal
The assessmentQ portal has been given a completely new look and feel:
- Each schedule now has an image, making the portal more visually attractive.
- Finished and upcoming schedules are now displayed on the portal's home page and no longer under different tabs as before.
- Users with access to the backoffice will see a button on the portal and no longer need the dropdown at the top right.
- The new portal is fully responsive so that it is usable on all devices up to smartphones.
- Extra attention is paid to accessibility for people with disabilities who use keyboards or screen readers.
Note: assessmentQ shows a default schedule image in all schedules in which no schedule-specific image had been added yet. To have a better fit with the look and feel of your organization, your assessmentQ administrator can replace this image with a default schedule image of your choice (containing for example the logo of your organization). New portal features
In addition to the new look and feel, some interesting new features have been added to the portal:
- Results page
Starting from assessmentQ 2.13, results can be published on the participants' portal allowing participants to access their results via the Results button at the top right of the portal. Participants can:- view their assignment scores
- open their assignments to view their answers in review mode (if allowed)
- download their certificates (if any)
- Search and filter bar
A search and filter bar can now be displayed on the portal, so the participants can find a schedule faster. By default, the search and filter bar is not shown on the portal, but it can be activated by the administrator for your assessmentQ environment.
More information - Schedule tags
A scheduler can add additional information to a schedule by means of tags. The tags are shown on the portal below the schedule image. Participants can also use the tags to filter their schedules on the portal.
More information
New portal settings
New portal settings have been added in the General Settings module:
- Show search and filter bar
With this option, the administrator can decide to show or hide the search and filter bar on the portal. - Show expired schedules
Until now, schedules that had expired were always shown on the portal. Starting from release 2.13, it is possible to hide expired schedules from the portal. - Show upcoming schedules
Until now, a scheduler had to specify per schedule whether an upcoming schedule should be shown immediately on the portal. Starting from release 2.13, this can be set for all schedules at once via a portal setting. - Show results on the portal
It is the scheduler who decides for which schedules the results will be available on the portal and when, but the administrator has to activate the Results setting for the schedulers to be able to publish the results on the portal.
Note: These options are set by the administrator and apply by default to all schedules on the portal, but certain settings can be overridden by the scheduler for a specific schedule.
New scheduling options
A number of new options have also been added to the Schedules module:
As a scheduler, you can now:
- add an image to a schedule.
If no schedule image is added, a default system schedule image will be shown. - add tags to a schedule.
Tags allow you to display additional information on the portal about a schedule. These tags can also be used by the participants when searching for schedules on the portal. - make the participants' assignment results available on the portal.
- send an e-mail notification to the participants to inform them that their results are available on the portal.

Update in Grading for simultaneous recording
Up to now, the export of simultaneous interpreting sessions contained a MP3 or MP4 file with the source followed by the participant's recording for each item.
Starting from assessmentQ 2.13, the export contains an additional file with the source on the left track, and the participant's recording on the right track. In this composed file, the participant's recording delay is kept intact. For example, if the participant only starts speaking 3 seconds after the source track started playing, this delay is also there in the composed file.
