2. Adding a source text

Learn how to add a new source text to translationQ, as step 2 of the Getting Started tutorial.

Background

A source text is a text that will be translated from the source language to a certain target language. Source texts consist of segments, and you can reuse them in multiple translation assignments.

Procedure

To add a new source text in the application, proceed as follows:

  1. Click + Add source text at the top right.
    ​ Result: The New source text page appears.

  2. Replace the title New source text by Online testing.

  3. Copy and paste the following text as source segments.

  1. In the Language dropdown list, select fr – français, langue française.

  2. Click the Save button.
    ​ Result: The source text has been added to the list of source texts.
