This article explains what's new in version 1.1 of translationQ.
The new features and improvements in this version include:
- Collaborating with multiple revisors
- A new revisor dashboard
- Customise the look and feel of the portal
- A timer counting down for the translators
Let's explore these features one by one.
Collaborating with multiple revisors
For many of you, it is important to be able to collaborate with multiple revisors when revising an assignment. Today, this is possible in translationQ. You can now
- Assign more than one revisor to an assignment
- Share revision memories with multiple revisor, and
- Select the shared revision memory when starting the revision.

The revisor dashboard guides the way
When you log in as revisor or administrator, you will not longer end up in the source texts module, but on the brand new revisor dashboard. This dashboard helps you to get started or continue with existing tasks. It shows a lot of useful information:
- Which revisions are assigned to you and what is their status (new, in progress, or completed)?
- Which imports are incomplete and should you still continue?
- How many source texts did you create?
- For administrators only: how many users does your application have?
- For administrators only: how many groups does your application have?
Customise the look and feel of the portal
As an administrator, you can change the look and feel of the portal and of the translation assignment the translators see. This allows you to apply your own company branding to the application, so the (often external) translators recognise your brand.
You can do that by going to the Settings > Layout module, and changing the logo, colours and display options of the portal and the translation assignment. The live preview gives you a realistic picture of the result the translator will see.
Timer for the translators
The end date of an assignment is displayed a lot clearer for the translator in this new version: instead of just showing the end date and time, for instance 14 Sep 2018 (14:00), the translator now sees a timer counting down to the end time, for instance due in 39m 14s. If the translator is still working on the assignment when the time is up, his work is submitted automatically and he ends up on the portal again.
